Tooth-Colored Fillings

Our office utilizes only tooth colored composite resin fillings. We do not use amalgam or silver filling material.

A cavity is a hole in a tooth that is the result of decay. Tooth decay occurs when bacteria and plaque combine with sugar to form acid that erodes tooth enamel and causes decay. If a cavity is not treated, the decay in the tooth will spread until it affects the nerve, causes a toothache and may eventually lead to loosing the tooth.

Composite resin or tooth colored fillings that bond to the tooth are used to treat cavities.
